Nebraska VR – Pathway to Employment with Amanda Carr

June 30, 2017

Amanda Carr, Hy-Vee Courtesy Clerk, brings her A game to work at a business where being helpful and engaged are highly valued. Her friendly, motivated, and hardworking demeanor along with her positive attitude are assets on the job when working with customers and fellow employees. Nebraska VR Employment Specialist Lisa Gordon worked with Amanda and our employer partners at Hy-Vee to expand her hours and work toward her goal to be financially independent. Hy-Vee, as a company, has embraced the business practice of building an inclusive workplace. Customer Care Education Manager Eddie Buckner, one of Amanda’s supervisors and a champion of disability employment himself, describes building an inclusive workplace as a way to meet the needs of the employer, the employee, and benefit the entire team. #PathwaytoEmployment #InclusionWorks
